F.A.Q.
Why didn't I hear of automated migration before?
Software migrators are computational- and memory-intensive applications. They encapsulate complex algorithms that work on very large amounts of data (e.g. the semantic tree of the source code, various graphs). Only in recent years has the necessary hardware evolved and become affordable/readily available. The possibility of proper automatic migration of large-scale applications has thus appeared.
In our opinion, the near future will bring an expansion of the automated migration software domain – especially since a huge volume of legacy applications becomes more and more in need of translation.
